Spring at the opening of Smart Energy City

On Nov 17, Spring was part of the inauguration of Smart Energy City, a new energy smart housing area in the Royal Seaport (Norra Djurgårdsstaden), Stockholm. One of the speakers was the Minister for Innovation and Enterprise, Mikael Damberg who highlighted the future of using new technology for a more sustainable future.

Smart Energy City is developed together with Fortum, ABB, Ericsson, Electrolux, Ellevio and the Swedish Energy Agency.

All new apartments in the first phase will be equipped with a Tingco tablet where it is possible to regulate heat, follow energy consumption etc.

To further increase the experience of living in a smart energy city in the next phase, Spring is developing an app on behalf of Fortum where everyone living in this new area will be able to regulate and steer functions in the home like temperature, water, energy with the aim of making it easier and more joyful to save energy.

The first version of the app is going to be released very soon and will be used by the residents of the new smart apartments. The team at Spring consist of Niclas, Project Management, Daniel, Art Direction, Johanna, UX, Emil and Pelle, developers.
